Job Description

Coeur Mining, a U.S.-based and growing precious metals producer, is known for its dedication to higher standards. The company operates four wholly-owned enterprises which include the Palmarejo gold-silver complex in Mexico, the Rochester silver-gold mine in Nevada, the Kensington gold mine in Alaska, and the Wharf gold mine in South Dakota. Coeur Wharf is a unique open-pit, heap-leach gold operation that merges harmoniously with its community and locality. The role on offer is a haul truck operator position at Coeur Wharf's South Dakota operation. The successful candidate will join a team of 250 distinct professionals, including miners, geologists, engineers, environmentalists, operators, and business leaders who prioritize safety, teamwork, and career growth.

  • Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an industrial or mining environment.
  • The ability to operate a 100 and 150-ton off-road haul truck with a dump body over gravel haul roads.
  • Cleaning and fueling the truck as required, and at the end of each shift.
  • The capacity to assist in the extraction of material from the crusher if necessary and assist in general mine labor as assigned.
  • Work in all conditions and environments, with approximately 80% of the job outdoors.
  • The ability to lift 65 lbs. on an occasional basis and walk on slopes and uneven ground daily.
  • Abide by all procedures and safety standards for safe production, willingness to stop work for safety concerns, and always follow safety best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Availability for a 5-5-4 schedule, alternating shifts.
  • Unfortunately, this position does not offer relocation support.
