On average, a week involves 1,700 miles with an average weekly pay of $1596. Drivers typically start between 5pm and Midnight working for six days including weekends. With the exception of the Brooklyn, NY lane, drivers can expect to return home after every dispatch. The equipment used for the job includes 40' containers and chassis along with 2023 Kenworth T680 or 2024 Freightliner Cascadia Automatic. This freight is primarily drop and hook with a few exceptions, and drivers must be comfortable with slip seating. The truck speed is 65, both pedal and cruise.
