Job Description

This is an immediate hiring opportunity for a motivated and dependable SOLO Class A CDL Driver in Des Moines, IA, at Ryder. The successful applicant will enjoy an attractive weekly guarantee, lucrative hourly pay, per diem compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package, all while operating state-of-the-art equipment on a flexible, regional route serving IA, KS, MN, MO & SD. While experience is necessary, all training will be provided to ensure your success.

This regional job offers:

A weekly guarantee and an hourly pay of $27.00

40+ working hours per week

Per Diem Pay of $50.00 per night for overnights during route in Ryder Booked Hotel

State-of-the-art equipment less than 36 months old

Paid training and immediate dispatch

Main routes in IA, KS, MN, MO & SD

Requirements:

Minimum age of 21

Pass a Ryder Drug Test

Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

Pass a DOT physical

Pass a Ryder road test

Proper CDL with endorsements for the position

At least 9 months verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle within the past 3 years, or 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years

Ability to follow written and oral instructions

Ability to interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, and policies
