This role focuses on the safe operation of a Non CDL Straight Truck to transport freight in adherence to Company, Federal, State, and Local laws and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations. The successful candidate must be skilled to drive in various terrains and weather conditions, maintain important records, comply with hazardous materials' transportation requirements, ensure equipment and cargo security, conduct pre-and post-trip inspections, promptly report maintenance issues, verify paperwork, potentially employ in-cab technology, adjust work schedules based on necessity, and offer professional and courteous service to customers. Dock work may be included too, such as loading/unloading freight. The role demands regular attendance and flexibility to perform various duties as per business needs.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid driver's license
Residence within 75 miles of the domiciled terminal and/or work assignment
Ability to operate a forklift (minimum 7,500 lb. vehicle)
Capability to push or pull a loaded pallet jack and/or hand truck with a minimum load of 70 lbs.
Acceptable MVR
Familiarity with state motor vehicle laws and FMCSA rules and regulations
Passing a FMCSA required medical exam
Ability to pass a road test
English language proficiency to meet the FMCSA's requirements
Able to lift approximately 70 lbs., or more if necessary
Ability to drive in different terrains and weather conditions
Ability to ensure equipment's safe and operational functions
