Job Description

This owner operator job opportunity with Shamrock Express is based in the Chicago area and seeks experienced Intermodal Owner Operators for dedicated local lanes. Successful candidates will manage consistent freight that originates from various Chicago rail yards, including Bolingbrook and Plainfield liquor runs. The role will involve transporting containers with both dry and reefer loads while offering the flexibility to design freight around individual schedules. 24/7 dispatch support ensures that drivers have the assistance they need while on the road.

Requirements:
  • Must hold a valid Class A CDL
  • A minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience, with at least 6 months on the specific type of trailer
  • Must be at least 23 years of age
  • Must have a clean driving record with no more than 100 CSA points
  • Must pass a current DOT physical
  • Must not be prohibited in the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
  • Equipment must be a model year 2005 or newer
